Project overview

The 4-storey building on the University of Nottingham’s Jubilee Campus was designed to incorporate a mixture of office and teaching space, bringing the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) staff groups together.

Our Solution

Waldeck were responsible for the design and detailing of the Civil and Structural Engineering elements of the scheme, which included the steel framework, foundations, drainage and rainwater attenuation systems.

The state of the art facility incorporates a ThermoDeck flooring system which uses the thermal storage capacity of the building’s structural mass to regulate the internal temperatures, the building has been designed to achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.
