Sophie joined Waldeck after a chance meeting at the University of Lincoln Careers Fair in October 2022. She then completed a placement in our Architectural team while finishing her degree studies, and upon graduating, she joined Waldeck full-time.
Sophie shared of her win:
“Winning this award feels like a true recognition of the hard work and dedication that I have invested into my career so far. I’m incredibly grateful for the guidance from my mentor and the support of my colleagues, which has allowed me to make a meaningful impact within my team and in the wider construction industry.
“To anyone considering a career in construction, I’d encourage you to be proactive, open-minded and confident in your abilities. When I started in this industry with no prior experience, I embraced every challenge as an opportunity to grow. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and grab every opportunity that comes your way.”
