Our Mechanical & Electrical Building Services team, who are based in Sheffield have been shortlisted for:

  • SME Employer of the Year
  • Degree Apprentice of the Year – Nicholas Murdoch

This exciting recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to developing the next generation of engineering and construction professionals through high-quality apprenticeship opportunities and our wider in-house Early Careers Development Programme.

The winners will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony taking place on Wednesday, 8th May, at Sheffield United Football Club.

Waldeck Director, Adam Machan, who runs Waldeck’s Sheffield office, shared:

“We’re thrilled to be recognised alongside so many passionate and inspiring individuals and businesses. The South Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards are a fantastic way to spotlight the people shaping the future of our region. We look forward to celebrating with the apprenticeship community on the night!”

As part of the application process, our academic partner, Sheffield Hallam University recognised the contributions Waldeck have made in developing apprentices and the quality of our projects. The University kindly offered to provide a reference to support our nomination, which we’re incredibly grateful for.

We currently have three apprentices enrolled in programmes with Sheffield Hallam University, and we look forward to further developing this valued relationship as we continue to grow our apprenticeship offering.
