The event, which has become a significant fixture in the city’s sporting calendar, will see local runners, businesses and community groups come together in a bid to beat PB’s and fundraise for good causes.

The Waldeck team are excited to be participating in the event, aiming to not only challenge themselves physically but also raise much-needed funds for Cash for Kids, an organisation that has been working tirelessly to improve the lives of disadvantaged children across the region. The team will be tackling the scenic route through the heart of Lincoln, hoping to make a meaningful contribution to the charity.

Stuart Denniss, Director of Architecture at Waldeck shared:

“We’re thrilled to be part of this fantastic event. Not only is it a great opportunity for our team to come together outside the office, but it’s also a chance to support a charity that does amazing work for children in our local community. We’re looking forward to pushing ourselves on the day, and we’re hopeful that our efforts will help make a real difference for Cash for Kids.

“This year our fundraising is with a twist. Originally I approached Cash for Kids at the Lincolnshire Construction & Property Awards after hearing about the great work they do, with the idea of running as their mascot, Courage the Cat. Unfortunately, due to an injury I won’t be taking part this year, but David Foster, has stepped up – and into the suit!”

David Foster, Architect at Waldeck added:

“Having recently achieved a new PB at the Half Marathon in Lisbon, after trying the suit on yesterday this will definitely be one of my toughest races yet. Especially if it is sunny! I plan to run, jog and walk the race in the fastest time possible in order to raise as much money for Cash for Kids as we can, and look forward to taking part alongside some of my Architecture colleagues – Jerome Brook and Will Paxton!”

Hannah Clark, Charity Manager at Cash for Kids commented:

“The incredible support of Waldeck will allow us to continue to support local disadvantaged children within Lincolnshire through emergency grants and our annual Cash for Kids Day campaign. Cash for Kids Day aims to tackle the issue of food poverty, specifically Holiday Hunger. Funds raised will help us provide grants to local charities, organisations and schools who are working to ensure the most vulnerable children in our communities receive a meal, fun and an activity during the summer holidays, helping to combat hunger, isolation, and loneliness.

“Our mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in our communities who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs. We simply couldn’t continue the work we do without the help we receive from individuals and businesses such as Waldeck.

“Thank you for all that you do and for supporting us at Cash for Kids, together we can make a difference!”
